Writing muscle...

Maybe there's this writing "muscle" that you have to build.  You have to use it and build it and practice and practice with it and work it out daily!

Like any other muscle it atrophies with time and neglect.

Working at it takes time, like ALL good things, I guess.  But it's worth it.

You have to find your own style and then work it out!


Now...where did I put mine???!

I have ideas.

To be a writer, it's good to write as much as possible.  Even garbage.  Like this.  Well, not like this??

So I'm starting form now to add at least one entry per day to this blog.

Nothing really mesmerizing or thoughtful or even interesting, I guess, but practice none the less.!

I hate those days where you don't feel like doing anything.

I just have (I think) a few more edits, but the mood's gone (or waning).

Damn it!  (Yes, I guess there are these days as well)

But like everything...accept it and don't fret over it and move on!

Whoever said writing a book was easy?  No ONE?  Really?
Well.... hell, they're right!!  It ain't easy!

But it IS a PROCESS.  It's an awesome creative process that makes you look deep inside yourself to convince you that you are capable.  That you TOO can be a writer   To Hell with what everyone say!  Your wife.  Kids.  Father. Brothers  Sisters.  Friends.  Postman.  Neighbors.  Your 6th grade English teacher.  The guy on the corner selling stolen electronics.  The hooker on the street....*SHIT*!

How do you know when you're done?!

Just when you think you're done...you find "Hey this can be better" "This sounds like crap" "What the hell did I mean here??!"

Time and time again

Even though it gets easier, there are days that really test my system.  But that's when I'm really happy to have it to help me when I really need it.

Having a go at programming (again) wasn't as easy as I thought!  I thought it'd be like riding a bicycle, you never really forget.  But boy was I wrong.

It's like a totally different language!  Again!
